Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is home to four theme parks, each with its own unique attractions and experiences. Epcot and Animal Kingdom are two of the most popular parks, attracting millions of visitors every year.

I have to say from my own personal experience that Animal Kingdom gets very hot in the summer months and there are not too many areas to cool off. If you struggle in the extreme heat and humidity (August) I would suggest Epcot may be the better option.

I have often gone to Animal Kingdom for half a day and then switched parks later in the day!

While both parks offer a variety of entertainment options, they have distinct differences that make them better suited for different types of visitors.

Epcot, which opened in 1982, is known for its futuristic design and focus on technology and innovation. It is divided into two main areas: Future World, which features exhibits and attractions related to science and technology, and World Showcase, which celebrates the cultures and cuisines of 11 different countries.

In contrast, Animal Kingdom, which opened in 1998, is dedicated to showcasing the beauty and diversity of the natural world. The park is divided into several themed areas, including Africa, Asia, and Pandora – The World of Avatar.
